8 CHRISTMAS COCKTAILS FOR GIN-LOVERS

Good tidings we bring, to you with our gin! Our talented mixologists have created eight mouth-watering festive cocktails to get you through late nights wrapping presents or that party you were planning on hosting for friends and neighbours.

We’ve also created some really special cocktails for Christmas Eve and the big day itself…and we haven’t forgotten a little something for Boxing Day too!

Find the perfect cocktail for every occasion this Christmas below…

Spiced Negroni

This seasonal twist on a classic gin cocktail will see you through chilly evenings in the run up to Christmas.

• 25ml Slingsby London Dry Gin
• 25ml Campari
• 25ml Dry Vermouth
• 15ml mulled wine  
• Soda

Method: In the glass, stir together all of the ingredients, except for the soda and Slingsby London Dry Gin. Top up with soda after five rotations and layer the gin at the top.

Rhubarb Cream

Whip up this simple but showy cocktail for Christmas Eve celebrations.

• 40ml Slingsby Rhubarb Gin
• 75ml nutmeg and clove spiced 50:50 cream and milk mix (recipe below)
• 1 egg white
• 15ml sugar syrup
• Cinnamon for dusting

Method: Combine 200ml milk and 200ml cream in a 50:50 ratio with 2g of grated nutmeg and 2g of clove and leave for 3 hours in the fridge (use within 2 days). Add all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a coupe glass and then sprinkle the top with cinnamon dust.

Seasonal Gimlet

Having a gathering with fellow gin-lovers? This sophisticated festive flavoured gimlet, created with our Navy Strength Gin, is the ultimate crowd-pleaser.

• 50ml Slingsby Navy Strength Gin
• 30ml Spiced Lime Cordial
• 20g black pepper
• 10g star anise
• 5g clove
• 10ml lime juice

Method: Combine the lime cordial with cracked black pepper, star anise and clove and leave for 6 hours, occasionally stirring then straining into a clean bottle. Then add all of the ingredients to a stirring glass and stir for 30 seconds before serving in a coupe glass.

Mulled Marmalade

Wrapping gifts won’t be quite such a tedious task with a Mulled Marmalade Gin in hand.

• 30ml Slingsby Marmalade Gin
• 150ml mulled wine
• 20ml sugar syrup

Method: Pop all of the ingredients in to a mug and enjoy warm with a side of gingerbread biscuit.

Gingerbread House

This easy cocktail really is like drinking liquid gingerbread, a real treat on the tastebuds!

• 20ml Slingsby Gooseberry Gin
• 10ml Cointreau
• 5ml ginger liqueur
• 10ml sugar syrup
• Champagne

Method: Combine the ingredients in a champagne flute and mix.

Chocolate Orange

It’s definitely not Terry’s, it’s all yours! Save this indulgent cocktail as an after dinner pick me up for Christmas Day!

• 30ml Marmalade Gin
• 20ml Mozart Chocolate Cream Liqueur
• 100ml 50:50 cream and milk mix

Method: Create the cream and milk mix by combining 50ml milk and 50ml cream. Then add all of the ingredients to a shaker. Shake and strain into a coupe glass and garnish with an orange peel twist.

Winter Highball

Get the celebrations started on Christmas morning with this rich yet refreshing, long cocktail.

• 30ml Slingsby Rhubarb Gin
• 20ml Chambord
• A handful of blackberries
• 20ml lemon juice
• 10ml sugar syrup
• Lemonade

Method: Muddle the blackberries in the base of a glass. Add the Slingsby Rhubarb Gin, Chambord, lemon juice and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into the serving glass with ice and top up with lemonade. Garnish with a blackberry, mint leaf and a dusting of icing sugar.

Indulgence

Beat the boxing day slump with this stunning but oh-so-simple cocktail created with our Slingsby Vodka.

• 25ml Slingsby Vodka
• 25ml espresso
• 25ml Kahlua
• 15ml Mozart Chocolate Liqueur

Method: In a shaker, combine all of the ingredients. Shake and strain into a chilled coupe glass.
