4 MUST-TRY GIN AND STRAWBERRY CREATIONS

4 MUST-TRY GIN AND STRAWBERRY CREATIONS

Cocktails | News

Here in Britain, we love strawberries! They’re such a lovely, sweet and versatile fruit that you can do so much with. Our favourite way to enjoy them? You guessed it, with GIN!

To celebrate National Strawberry Day on 27th February, we wanted to share some of our favourite gin and strawberry combinations that you can try at home. Some are easier to make than others, but all of them are guaranteed to go down a treat.

If you do recreate them, don’t forget to tag us @slingsbysocial or using #slingsby on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. Enjoy!

Field of Plenty

  • 50ml Slingsby Rhubarb Gin
  • 25ml Strawberry Cordial
  • Dash of Balsamic Vinegar
  • 15ml Lemon Juice
  • Soda
  • 1 Dash of Grapefruit Bitters
  • Crushed Ice

Add all ingredients but soda and bitters to a highball glass with crushed or cubed ice. Top with soda and lift ice several times if cubed (if crushed, churn). Add grapefruit bitters to the top and garnish with grapefruit slice and mint.

Strawberry & Mint

  • 50ml Slingsby Rhubarb Gin
  • 200ml Lemon Tonic

Build in a goblet with ice and garnish with sliced strawberries and mint.

Strawberry Smash

  • 50ml Slingsby Rhubarb Gin
  • 20ml Lemon Juice
  • 12ml Strawberry Syrup

Shake and fine strain ingredients into a coup and then roll and dirty pour into a goblet glass. Top with lemonade and garnish with lemon zest.

Rhubarb & Strawberry Spritz

Last but certainly not least, we bring you the Rhubarb and Strawberry Spritz. Not a cocktail as such, but still a strawberry and gin pairing that tastes wonderful. Our new Slingsby Spritz cans are only 70 calories per can and 1.2 units meaning that they’re incredibly light and refreshing.

Better yet, there’s nothing you need to do with this drink. You can just enjoy chilled, from the can – if you’re feeling fancy, you can always pour it into a goblet glass with ice.
